We were very excited that our school was chosen for a Team Ireland Olympic Ambassador workshop. On 30th May we welcomed Phil Healy, Ireland’s Olympic 400m Sprinter, to our school. This visit was sponsored by permanent TSB, who donated new sports equipment to our school. All children from 3rd class up met Phil and listened to her inspirational talk about never giving up. They also got a chance to pass the Olympic torch from hand to hand. After the talk, 2nd and 3rd class took part in a sports workshop with Phil.
