We were delighted to welcome the metropolitan Mayor of Waterford, Jason Murphy, to school on Tuesday 25th October. The Mayor spoke to the children, and presented the staff with a certificate to mark the hard work carried out by the school during Covid-19. This was accepted on behalf of the staff by Mrs Hemmingway. As a special treat, Mr Stone played some music on the uilleann pipes; this was very much enjoyed by everyone in attendance. Before he left, the Mayor very kindly gave us all no homework for Thursday night, and a half-day on Friday!
