Christ Church NS were one of three schools to take part in the People’s Parade for Cruinniú na nÓg on Saturday 10th June. 4th and 5th class had spent weeks creating costumes and floats from single-use plastic items and recyclable materials, and also creating songs on the theme of protecting the earth and preventing pollution and litter. The parade through the city was joyous, riotous and colourful, and it caused many passers-by to stop and watch, all with a smile on their faces. The parade finished at the stage on O’Connell Street where the audience were treated to a live performance of the children’s songs. Our thanks to Nick and the gang from the Theatre Royal for providing our children with this unforgettable experience.
