Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh go leir. Tá súil againn go mbaineann sibh suibhneas agus spraoi as an lá
Dear Parents,
Things are settling down after all of the excitements and the major work of the building project. We are very comfortable in our surroundings and the children are very happy and content.
This is just a short newsletter to let you know of a few items coming up in school between now and Easter. I am also sending you an email from the PTA. The PTA have organised lots of activities over the next few weeks, please make a special effort to attend and to give support to the school.
We have no school tomorrow and school will reopen as normal on Monday Morning.
A reminder for next Friday, The “Bible Times” show will be coming to school for their annual prize giving. This is always a lovely event for the children as they will all receive a prize. It is wonderful that we are able to invite you to join us on Friday morning in the celebrations. The children really enjoy their visit every year so please come and take part.
As you have probably hear Ms. Reidy is organising this year’s musical and she has asked me to include this in the newsletter
“We have begun preparations for our whole school production of the Roald Dahl classic, Matilda. The show will take place in Garter Lane theatre from the 24th-26th May and every child will have a role. If you can volunteer some time to help we would be most grateful. We need parents to help with; costume making, marketing, photography, filming, make up and supervision. Also if you have seen previous shows you might have noticed that we use digital backdrops, if these are something that you might be able to help design please let us know.”
She is also looking for each child to have a grey uniform for the show, trousers for the boys and pinafore or skirts for the girls. No need to buy, just ask around friends. Also a white aertex shirt for each child.
