We are delighted to have won an Environmental Awareness Award from the Diocese of Cashel, Ferns and Ossory for our Adopt-a-beach project.
Six children from school along with Mrs Twigg and Ms Coulter travelled to Carlow on Wednesday evening to receive the award. We were presented with a buddleia bush (known as a butterfly bush) to plant in the school garden.
We also got a certificate, and a beautiful wooden plaque. We were invited to stay for dinner afterwards, and got home very late, but very proud!
